The main purpose of goal 4 is to ensure quality education and learning opportunities for all. Obtaining a quality education is the key to a sustainable development. that is why it is goal number 4, and of high priority for the united nations.
Goal number four will;
- Ensure that all youth and most adults achieve literacy. (the ability to read and write).
- Equip more schools with essential supplies such as handwashing facilities, toilets, electricity.
- Provide training for all teachers- more trained teachers are needed.
what improvements have been made?
Basic literacy skills have improved tremendously, yet bolder efforts are needed to make even greater strides for achieving universal education goals. For example, the world has achieved equality in primary education between girls and boys, but few countries have achieved that target at all levels of education.
